It is with great excitement that Ameriflo announces the launch of Ameriflo LATAM for sales and engineering coverage of Mexico.  This is a huge addition to the Ameriflo global sales program and is a concentrated effort to cover the rest of North America buy placing dedicated Ameriflo people in the country of Mexico.

The Mexican market is very large and its dependence on the United States for product makes Ameriflo a perfect fit for this market.  This group will focus on both UL/FM fire protection as well as, Commercial, Industrial & Municipal business.  Ameriflo currently has 35 product lines spanning one of the largest hydraulic offerings on the planet.  This product offering covers end suction, vertical sump, submersible sewerage, split case, ANSI, formed stainless steel, vertical turbine, mixed flow, axial flow and self-primer.  With flows from 10 GPM to over 200,000 GPM and heads from 20 10 feet to over 2000 feet, rest assured Ameriflo has the pump you need…….

Nearly all of the current North American manufacturers have abandoned the Mexican market opening the door for overseas companies from Asia and the Middle East to attempt to enter this market.  These companies cannot service this market from the other side of the world and quite honestly do not understand the culture and needs that this challenging market demands.  By adding people from the country that know the market inside and out is the only way to properly support this very important market.  We need Ameriflo customers from Mexico to understand, we hear you and understand what you want in a pump manufacturer and are answering those demands with a concentrated Ameriflo focus where you want it, right at home in your backyard!!

After the success of the Panama Consultant Training Class we moved to Costa Rica for an even larger class.  Cost Rica is a central location for SAEG that covers other major countries in Central America not just Costa Rica.  They invited the top engineers from San Jose that specialize in fire protection.  Costa Rica has several dedicated business parks specializing in several industrial sectors including the medical industry.  Ameriflo has already installed products into these areas and continue to grow the brand elsewhere.

One of the most interesting parts of introducing Ameriflo into markets around the world is to have an audience of consulting engineers review the features and benefits of the Ameriflo product line.  This group of highly educated and trained professionals truly understand the SIGNIFICANT differences between the Ameriflo product line and all others.  This class of engineers included the top design houses located in Panama and was coordinated with SAEG the Ameriflo distributor for Panama.  As the Ameriflo product line was designed by industry professionals with mechanical engineering degrees, these groups of consultants see the outstanding benefits of the Ameriflo product line and truly understand the Ameriflo approach.

The design and marketing of the Ameriflo product line was always intended to be different.  No “ME TOO” product lines here.  Ameriflo has distinctive and market leading features and benefits that are simply not available from the other guy.  Being different in the marketplace is the only way to be disruptive in this industry and the only way to become the new market leader.  SAEG understands this and wants very much to be part of this Revolution.

NFPA 2023 Post Show

NFPA 2023 Post Show

We would like to thank all those that stopped by our booth this year for a phenomenal NFPA 2023.  The booth was packed with hundreds of people getting the latest updates on the growth of Ameriflo.  We were very fortunate to also have Mike Duseberg in our booth wowing visitors with his magic!!  He was a big hit with our guests!!

Ameriflo had perhaps the most diverse booth at the show and for sure had the best spread of product compared to all others.  The end suction, vertical inline, split case, vertical turbine and diesel engines were all on parade and show the absolute breadth of the largest product offering in the Fire Protection industry!!

After the show on Monday night, we had our hospitality event at the top of Mandalay Bay in the Foundation Room.  One of our first hospitality events and it went off without a hitch.  We had drinks and food for a couple hundred of our guests with Mike continuing his magic to entertain the room.

It’s always great to be Number 1 and so will be the case with the new Ameriflo Global Headquarters located in Piperton, TN.  The city has graciously given the address, #1 Ameriflo Circle, that only suits what Ameriflo has been doing on the global stage.  These images show the extensive facility (and the quite honestly the seriousness Ameriflo has in the future) that is currently being designed and constructed in Western Tennessee.  As seen in previous posts, this facility will house senior management, production, engineering, sales and service schools resources, all hydraulic and Diesel engine testing, as well as the complete manufacturing facility for all Ameriflo product lines.

Ameriflo Global Headquarters Land Purchase

It comes with great excitement that we announce the building of our new Ameriflo Global Headquarters which will be located in Piperton, TN.  This brand new 100,000 square foot facility will centralize several different facilities located throughout the world and will be located on 7 acres of American soil!!  This new facility will include:

  1. Corporate headquarters for senior management and applications engineering
  2. A state-of-the-art training facility for sales and service training of pumps and Diesel engines
  3. Full product showroom displaying pumps, packages and Diesel engines
  4. 300,000 gallon hydraulic test facility that will be able to test end suction, vertical inline, split case, vertical turbine, submersible non-clog and self primers with flows through 100,000 gallons and pressures to over 1000 PSI (Full string testing in electric and/or Diesel engine drivers)
  5. Dual dyno’s for testing and certifying the complete Ameriflo Diesel engine program
  6. Racking for millions of dollars of expanded inventory
  7. Small and large assembly areas to assemble pump on a base with driver up to and including 20 & 40 foot containerized pump houses
  8. Machine and fabrication cell used to manufacture the entire Ameriflo product line

This brand new facility will also allow Ameriflo more space for inventory allowing even faster lead-times for the Express program.  The new Tennessee test facility will allow for very fast customization of stock inventory for domestic and international customers extending the current hydraulic offering currently covered by the Express Quick Ship Program.

Large Refinery Split Case

Not Only Fire Protection

Ameriflo started its global program by first focusing on fire protection.  Over the last several years, Ameriflo has developed and released the most comprehensive UL & FM fire protection offering on the planet.  With complete coverage in the end suction, vertical inline, split case and vertical turbine, our hydraulics are unmatched.  Couple that with the only pump manufacturer offered Diesel engine program and you have a very dangerous product offering that has disrupted the global fire protection market.

The intention form the beginning of the Ameriflo concept was to also offer a complete non fire offering consisting of end suction, split case, ANSI end suction, vertical turbine, mixed flow and axial flow products for the Commercial, Municipal & Industrial markets.  This post focuses on one of these non-fire product offerings.

Shown here are two 14×16-20 HS split case pumps sized for 10,300 GPM and a head of 259 Feet.  These pumps have cast iron casings with 304 stainless steel impellers coupled to two medium voltage, 1760 RPM, 900 HP horizontal T-frame motors.  The customer specified mechanical seal construction and the standard Ameriflo accessory package.  These two units are mounted on the exclusive Ameriflo fabricated base assembly featuring base jackscrews for base leveling.

Back To Basics

High Quality Castings

We have spent hours on a variety of Blogs discussing construction, Diesel engines and products being shipped all over the world.  Although Ameriflo has the most diverse and complete hydraulic coverage available in the fire protection industry, we neglect to cover the basics when it comes to standard casing & bowl castings.  It is very well known that Ameriflo standardizes on ductile iron casing material throughout the fire protection product line.  The casting process for ductile iron is slightly more complicated than cast iron but the advantages are worth the effort.  Nearly every other manufacturer in the fire protection industry pours their casing castings out of class 30 cast iron.  This class of cast iron has a tensile strength of 30,000 PSI and is the standard for the pump industry globally.

Ductile iron has an additional step of using what is called an inoculation crucible.  This second crucible has magnesium placed in it and the original heat is poured into this crucible for inoculation.  This process essentially changes the base material into ductile iron.  The grade of ductile iron that Ameriflo uses as a standard material in all casings and bowls is class 65 which has a tensile strength of 65,000 PSI, more than double that of standard class 30 cast iron.  As the tensile strength is increased, so is the case working pressure.  This simple change in base material from cast iron to ductile iron allows Ameriflo to have case working pressures that are nearly doubled of what our competition uses as a standard material.

Ductile iron is used by the competition in applications where the case working pressures needed exceeds class 30 cast iron.  Other manufacturers will offer this as an option with an extended lead-time.  These lead-times vary, can exceed 20 additional weeks and is a killer to a prospective order, especially when the customer needs the pump yesterday.
